Red Points is a scale up based in Barcelona and New York that provides a software (SaaS) to detect counterfeits online.
For the last 2 years, as UX Researcher first and Design Team Lead a year later, I have been working on implementing and developing a Design culture within the Product department and across the whole company.
My main objective was to support the Product Managers by contributing with the point of view of the user.

Role: | Design Team Lead |
The process depends on the complexity of the problem. Usually, at first, I try to gather all the information available in that starting moment, both qualitative and qualitative. I have meetings with the stakeholders to understand their points of view, expectations, scope, technical requirements, limitations, milestones and deadlines.
Research is a must to me because it make all the process more clear. Last 2 years I have been using the software Pendo and Looker for analysing quantitative data.
Then, I map the journey to have more clear all the steps and users involved, touch points and pain points.
Once the flowchart is clear, I start prototyping, exploring ideas, looking for inspiration within and outside the company to propose the first lofi wireframes... Including the happy path but start thinking on the corner cars, possible errors cases... And then, with the team iterate and validate it.
I have collaborated with other designers and developers.
During last year we have improved the communication between the two teams having recurrent updates for building together the solution.
Red Points has 2 different personas: the final customers but also the internal users or analysts. I used the following tools to understand them better and adapt our platform to their expectations.
· Customer interviews
· Shadowing with internal analysts
· User journeys and flowcharts using Miro
· Co-Creation Sessions & a Hackaton with Machine Learning team
· Brainstormings
· Heuristic analysis
· User test: usability, concept, A/B tests
